COLLINSVILLE, Texas — Collinsville Pioneer Day returns Saturday, Sept. 19, with a full day of family activities downtown from 4 to 11 p.m. The annual celebration, listed on the Texoma Connect events calendar, is anchored by a parade through downtown Collinsville and live entertainment featuring Whites of Texas, Band of Faith, Backroad Anthem and a headliner closing the night. Visitors can expect vendor booths, bingo, a food court, a pop-up history museum, a car show and a Kidz Zone, along with a contest and auction during the evening. Pioneer Day has long served as one of the biggest gatherings of the year in this western Grayson County community, drawing families from across the area for an evening of food, music and local history. This year's schedule adds the pop-up history museum to the usual lineup of vendors and entertainment. The event takes place in downtown Collinsville at 101 North Main Street. Activities run continuously from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m., spread across the downtown blocks. Food vendors will operate throughout the evening, and the Kidz Zone gives younger children a dedicated area for games and crafts. Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early for the parade and to use street parking around the square. Collinsville sits along U.S. 377 in western Grayson County, a short drive from Lake Texoma. The festival is one of several fall events on the area calendar, alongside the Pumpkin Grove Festival at Eisenhower State Park and Frontier Day in Pottsboro. Vendors, parade participants and sponsors can find sign-up information through the event listing on the Texoma Connect calendar and the community's event pages.
